| "Knock knock!" Wario shouted as he kicked open the next door. So far, cleaning out the place of pests - and by pests, he meant squatters - and by squatters he meant skeleton patrols who were still keeping an eye on the place even if it wasn't in active use - was proceeding nicely thanks to the only opposition being... skeleton patrols who were still keeping an eye on the place even if it wasn't in active use. Wait, wasn't his train of thought there already? Whatever.
He didn't mind so much. The treasure-hunting was supposed to be the hard part. Getting the castle to put the treasure in was the starting point. And beating up weaklings that got in his way was very satisfying regardless.
He laughed madly as he crashed through the next line of Bony Beetles. "That the best ya got, pugsies?!"

| Envy was, about this time, closing in on Castle Koopa. Finally! After so long wanting to see it, there it was, huge and, well, frankly, to them, amazing. They approached the gates, hoping that there wouldn't be nasty guards or anything of the sort. They were cautious, but deliberate as they went towards the gate. | |

| "Yes your evilness," Fire responded as he saluted her. "I'll round them up and be there right away."
Strange, he thought to himself. They had gotten rid of the plumbers, why would they show up and at this time? Questions ran through his mind as he walked down to the troopa quarters, but he could not find the answers.

| Noticing that Heaven took off quite quickly, Xiuhcoatl ran out of the throne room and hopefully in the direction of where she went. No plumber would stand a chance around his turf, which Soda Lake was just around Cookie Mountain. | |

| Watching the koopa troopa walk away, Heaven wondered if she should of went with him but it was probably quite dangerous.. or at least the Monty Mole created it out to be that way. Shrugging the shoulda-couldas, she began to walk back up to the throne room. | |

| By the time Heaven returned to the throne room, the Monty Mole had already departed, as he had stated.
***
In fact, he had by now arrived back at the clearing, where the patrol was almost done recovering. "Message reported, sir!" he reported to the Chargin' Chuck. "The crown is sending reinforcements, along with their strongest knight!"
"Excellent news," replied the Chuck. "I just hope that will be enough..."

| Sprinting as fast as he could to catch up with the queen, Xiuhcoatl wasn't paying attention as he crashed into Heaven as she was walking. "Ayy!" he shouted as he tumbled down the stairs and came to a crashing halt into the solid rock wall that lined the halls of the great castle. | |

| Closing her eyes again, Crystal took a long breath and waved her hands out in the direction of where the castle laid outside her spiritual lodge. "To keep you safe," she whispered gently, "please spirits keep you safe." | |

| Crashing into the stranger that popped out in front of her, Heaven tumbled and rolled down the stairs. Finally coming to a rest, on her back, she shook the cobwebs out and looked around. "Who the heck?" she whined out. "What the hell dude?" | |

| (I'm guessing there's no guards~! I'm a bit too shy to use any myself)
Envy approached the castle door, fully intending to open it and go inside. They were a bit nervous, not really knowing what they could find, but at the same time... this was what they'd originally come to Valley of Bowser for. Crystal had said the Queen was nice... was the King nice too? Was this still a hellish place? Only one way to find out.

| Leaning against the walls that lined the outside of the tavern, Spike caught in the corner of his eye a suspicious character approach the castle door. Letting off a snicker, he figured he would make whoever this was a very unwelcome surprise.
Dragging his lazy butt over slowly towards the castle, he kept himself as quiet as he could.

| "My queen!" Xiuhcoatl exclaimed in a worried tone as he struggled to get to his feet and then extended a hand to Heaven to assist her in getting back to her feet. "I am so sorry. Are you alright?" | |

| Creeping behind Envy, Spike sneaked around the corner and watched the stranger navigate into the first room of the castle. Rubbing his hands together, he looked to the glass fixture that hung from the ceiling and pondered what to do next. | |

| Envy was far too busy looking at the castle to notice Spike yet. This was... amazing! They didn't see any huge armies yet... that, at least, was a great sign. They kept walking deeper into the castle, slowly. | |

| Grabbing the reptile's hand, Heaven pulled herself back onto her feet again. "You really need to watch where your going," she said to Xiuhcoatl, giving him a scornful look. "You'll get somebody killed if you run around like that.." | |

| As Wario burst into the next room of the castle, he was quickly confused. Most of the rooms had at least one group of guards patrolling it, except for some of the smallest rooms. But this room was deserted and yet quite large, possibly the biggest yet. This place had a pattern, so there had to be some reason it was broken here...
He picked up a shifting sound above. He looked up to see the ceiling was covered in spikes... and was slowly lowering. "Mama mia!" he cried, quickly scanning the room for... aha! The exit on the other side! Pouring on the speed, he charged across the chamber headfirst. He caught a glimpse of a block saying "ON" midway through; he timed his jump and hit it to switch if "OFF," which caused the ceiling to start back up but he didn't want to take chances and kept going. Sure enough, once it had returned to its original position, it started coming down again.
He crashed into the far wall, which while a scattering of dirt fell off held up. He just barely managed to avoid being squished by the ceiling as it slammed into the floor. Taking a moment to catch his breath, he laughed at the failed trap before continuing on his way.

| Fire had gathered up about a hundred koopa troopas to follow him up to Cookie Mountain as he rode through the land bareback on a Reznor. The sun shone down on his fire red armor that covered his shell and glared off the equally red visor that covered the lower half of his face. After what seemed like hours, they finally approached the rickety ladder that led up the mountain and to the glorified castle of Ludwig, though a bit abandoned and run down looking. Spotting what appeared to be part of an airplane, Fire grew suspicious if that was the plumber's transportation.
"Troops!" he shouted back to the koopa army that surrounded him. "Go up there and storm the area for that plumber. I'll dismantle that silly aircraft and take the castle."

| Sitting in his room at ze top of de Castle, Ludwig heard a trap go off. Knowing only amateurs would fall for such a trap, he knew what to do. Hitting a switch by his desk, flaps he install in the rest of the castle begin to pour red hot lava.
"Bye bye plumber!" he shouted as he giggled. His empty castle trick work perfect!

| Wario had made it into a very tall room of the castle when a nearby hatch opened and lava started to pour into the room. And at a fairly quick rate.
"Oh boy..." The door behind him had quickly sealed shut. He quickly looked around and saw a climbing mesh on the wall, and looking up revealed several more going all the way up. "Bingo!" he cried as he jumped onto one and started climbing up, much faster than anyone probably expected someone of his size to go. And just in time as the lava coated the floor and quickly began rising.
Wario wasted no time in continuing his ascent up the room. He was resilient, sure, but even he doubted his ability to survive a deep lava pool.

| Fantastic, Spike thought to himself as he quietly followed Envy, the idiot doesn't even know I'm behind him! He pondered what the heck this strange looking abomination was but why did he care.. it was just another innocent soul to bully. | |

| The very unaware Envy continued on their way, pleasantly surprised at how the castle seemed empty enough from huge armies. Crystal might actually like to hear about this. They paused a moment. Should they find the queen? Should they find the dungeons instead? Crystal had said the queen was nice. But of course, if they checked the dungeons first, they could more quickly check if things had changed. Hm. What to do? | |

| The lava not too far behind, Wario leapt from the top of the wall mesh to the highest ledge - though maybe it was big enough to classify as a balcony. Whatever. He wanted the lava to be further behind, but he was slowed down by more Dry Bones patrols standing on top of suspended blocks and crawling on the mesh with him. Naturally they stood no chance of stopping him, but if there was anything he hated wasting more than money, it was time.
Actually, money would always be number one. Time was a close second, though.
This was the top of the room, so there had to be a way onward. A quick look confirmed that: a large red door made of strong-looking metal. "That looks lavaproof," he figured, and he ran over to it and pulled at the handle. To his surprise, it wouldn't open; no apparent keyhole and nothing that looked like it could open it out here, so it was apparently barred on the other side.
Out of the corner of his eye, the yellow-red glow of the rising lava was starting to peek over the edge of the balcony. "Grr... Hurry up!" he shouted to himself as he ran to the edge opposite the door. Turning around, he charged at it head first. Thankfully, he had just enough room to pick up full speed, slamming headlong into the door. It didn't open, but he heard something at the other end break.
The glow was getting brighter. "One more oughta do it!" he declared as he backed up and repeated the process. This time, there was the sound of wood breaking apart as the door swung open.
Quickly, he skidded to a halt inside and slammed the door shut behind him. Two halves of a wood timber sat around, clearly no longer capable of barring against increasing pressure of the lava on the other side, and there was no indication of anything else that could be used.
Out of other options, he settled for hoping the door would hold itself well enough and got away from it.
Looking around this new chamber, he quickly took notice of a large Koopa with wild blue hair in the room with him. "Hey, pugsy! You in charge here?"
