Role Play Pool Party V.2

Still having Murcs by the hand, Crystal walked through the doors and fluttered her wings as she gazed around the dark Dome with admiration. It was so quiet and peaceful in this place, unlike her noisy upbringings in Koopa Castle. Checking out the crystals embedded in the dome walls around her, she searched for the caves they would have to start their treasure hunt in. "Beauty unlike currency has infinite value," she said to Murcury as she looked him in the eyes. "Let's try and see where we need to start to find those gems."

"Couldn't of spoken that any sweeter." Murcury responded as he too began to hunt for any activity coming from the many dug out holes and caverns embedded in the dome walls. He had to admit it, he loved Crystal's way of looking at things. How could someone who lived in such a gloomy house be so beautiful and wise.

Brushing a tuft of his wild, blue hair out of his line of sight, he saw a gleam of light coming from one of the caverns burrowed into the ledge with ol' Lemmy's Castle resting just above. Tapping Crystal on the back of her pink shell, Murcury pointed out towards the dimly lit cavern. "I think we've found a place to start. Should we both go or is it better to split up?"

"Let's both go," she said to Murcury as she still had her hand firmly in his. "May take more time but you never know if we'll find a cave with Blargs or anything it." Crystal began to skip lightly to the lit cavern.

"An orange juice will do thank you," Elaine said as she stood against the bar.

Orinda pulled a frosty mug out of the mini-fridge below him and filled it with cold orange juice and slid it down to Elaine. "You know what this place needs?" he asked aloud, in wonder. "Some regulars, a coach and a snooty barmaid and we'll be rolling!"

Walking down the stairs that led from the roof up above, Bowser nodded to himself. Threat taken care of, he thought, Dinosaur Land was again owned by the Koopas. He wasn't even paying attention to his surroundings, he was lost in his own little world of thought as he continued to walk down the hallway.

"Who are you calling snooty?" Elaine said loudly. Regaining her composure, she then said, "Are you offering me a job here?"

"No," Orinda said with a shrug. "I was referring to myself." Getting a good itch from under his shell for a moment, he went back to work behind the bar.

Heaven just finished climbing the stairs as she saw Bowser walking down the hall towards her. Waving him down, she walked up to him fuming under her breath. "That koopa you love so much has to go!" she shouted at him, half out of breath. Adjusting her hair ribbon, she began to catch her breath as she waited for a response from the bratty koopa king.

Not seeing Heaven in front of him, Bowser collided with Heaven and tripped over her, getting a faceful of the stone castle floor. Rubbing his nose, he looked around angrily and growled out out. "Watch it you numbskull!" he shouted as he then saw Heaven's tail come into focus from the the cloudiness of the fall. Covering his eyes, he shook his head. "Drats.."

Skipping along, Crystal entered the cavern and looked around through the eerie darkness for any kind of sign.. life, the lights that shone from the beautiful gems, anything. Trailing her fingers along the rough walls to guide her, she hoped that Murcs was still there with her. She could feel her hand in his but the blackness, darker than night in this cavern, made her wonder. "Murcs?" she called out, her voice quivering a bit. "You still here with me?"

Pushing Bowser's enormous, clumsy body off of her frantically, Heaven kicked Bowser in the side of the head and growled at him. "Watch who you're callin' numbskull!", she shouted at him. Letting off a small cough, she attended to the now loose ribbon in her hair and watched the king with stern eyes. "Get rid of that koopa in the bar," she then said to him, a bit more calmly this time. "I don't care what you think of the scumbag."

Seeing that Elaine was obviously content with her beverage, Orinda polished the bar up with a rag that he pulled out of his shell. "So where you from?" he asked casually as he clean. "I'm from a planet far away and just happened to crash here because of an invisible tree."

Still holding Crystal's hand in his, he could feel her fear trembling through her hands and body. Looking into her eyes, Murcury smiled to her. "I'm still here," he said softly. "Let's keep traveling.. the more you desire something the deeper you have to go to find it."

Drinking her drink, Elaine replied, "I'm from just outside Koopa Village near the Mushroom Kingdom." She took another sip and then said, "How far away is this planet from here and what made you come here? Since when do you get invisible trees?"

"A couple of light years away," Orinda responded as he stopped what he was doing for a moment. "I have to go across Dinosaur Land to visit my mother, while I was flying across I hit an invisible tree. It's some forest that you all call like an illusion?"

Grasping Murcury's hand even tighter, Crystal pointed ahead of them and saw a stream of bright purple light trickling out through what seemed to be a crack in the wall. "What do you think that is?" she asked him, her tiny wings fluttering in either delight or fear. She could not tell and was quite frankly not prepared for either.

Bowser got back to his feet and offered a hand to Heaven. "He steals and is nasty," he said to her with a twisted laugh, "you'd define a koopa any other way? Allow me to escort you to the throne room my lovely yet detestable Queen."

A red door suddenly appeared in the back wall of the tavern. As it slowly opened, fog trickled out from the doorway and slowly filled the room. A giant green frog in a U.S. Postal Service jacket quickly ran through the opening as a Tweeter and a Shy Guy tried coming along with him. Kicking them back and slamming the door firmly shut, it vanished from the tavern wall as if it was never there.

Walking up to the bar, the amphibian lazily sat down on a bar stool and slammed a slimy fist against the bar top. "Hey there Sammy," he yelled out to Orinda. "Mind setting me up with a cold one?"

Orinda filled up a beer mug full of mushroom ale and slid it to the frog visitor. "I'm not Sammy," he said to him as he took his attention to wiping out a glass mug with his rag. "Unless that's a nickname for barkeep and haven't you been here before?"

Heaven put her hand in Bowser's and just shook her head. "You're such a dorkbutt you know?" she said to him aloud with a hint of sarcasm. "But you're sweet when you try. Let's go."

Wart took a sip from the mug and looked to Orinda. "As a long time worker of the postal service, it just becomes natural that I am philosophical. We've all been here at one point or another, we're all different shapes, forms and species but we've indeed 'been here before'." Tracing a finger through the condensation forming on the mug, he looked at the dragon and shrugged. "Hence the answer to your question on having been here before."

Orinda stopped what he was doing and looked at Wart with a bit of an overwhelmed expression on his face, it also showed a bit of amusement. "Where do you exactly get this knowledge from?" he asked with a giggle.

"Alcohol." Wart said as he pointed to the mug. "It kills off the useless brain cells which in turn makes more room for the useful brain cells, which alas makes you smarter." Finishing off the contents in the mug, he looked to Orinda and snapped his fingers. "Another one eh Sammy?"

Elaine quickly turned around all of a sudden startled.

"Hey, where did you all come from? I didn't see you come in," she said to the new people.
