I find Alzheimer's Disease to be quite a strange illness. It messes up with your memory and long forgotten events from years gone by will be remembered again while more recent memories are forgotten.

Alzheimer's Disease is awful. You lose that loved one twice. They lose their memory and recognition and then lose their life to the disease later on.

so true! its a terrible disease and one I wish a cure could be found for!

This whole chemo kills more than it helps debacle going on lately is based on some "statistics" instead of looking at "results". I honestly can't stand it, chemo isn't a cure all. Terminal cancer is terminal cancer, weak odds are simply weak odds. If someone loses to cancer, why go blaming the treatment?

Everybody has a 50/50 chance in life. Don't see people blaming life for that when they fail. Makes no sense Tia and I know where your coming from for sure.

Sissy, people need to look at survivors like you and realize that chemo treatments CAN help. Its time to stop looking at the downside of things and have people look at its upsides for once.

I think people look at the downside of things because that's what news media tries to pound into brains. You ever notice when You watch the news that they mainly focus on bad news like house fires, deaths by misadventure, car accidents and criminals of all walks. Looking into the upside of things is that simple by not watching the news or reading the media outlets and can not be done alone by just trying to think positive or seeing something in a more radiant and comforting light.

Way too true kiddo. It's surprising how many people actually get hurt by those kind of statements.

I'm agreeing with that too. If the news and other medias would actually focus on the good things being done in the world instead of trying to inform about the bad, maybe this world would be a bit better off. The rest is up to us as a whole though, as far as making the world and our attitudes the way we want it.

The media does what's good for big ratings. A fatal car wreck will ALWAYS get headway over a disabled veteran building homes for other vets, etc. etc.

Makes one miss that Good News topic. Shame Envy hasn't been around.
