Role Play Pool Party V.2

Walking back over to the see-saw, Xiuhcoatl looked at Chugami and thought to himself for a moment. "So what is it that you're trying to accomplish with this device again?", he asked, with a bit of wonder in his voice, but also a hint of irritation.

L.J.'s jaw nearly hit the ground as he sat from his stool watching the crash unfold through the front door. Looking to the barkeep and then around the room, he pounded on the bar loudly with his fists.

"Is that darn barkeeper sleeping?", he roared in anger but changed his expression quickly to a confused one. "Also, did anybody see Cliff, he was just here a moment ago."

("Looks like Steering Wheel Soufflé for dinner."
"Again?!")

"There's a procedure for testing a see-saw's stability and sturdy-ability," Chugami replied, tossing Xiucoatl the pamphlet describing the testing procedure. "I thought it looked like fun, so..."

Xiuhcoatl looked through the pamphlet for a moment and then handed it back to Chugami. "Count me down next time", he said, sounding a bit frustrated. "I just didn't expect you that's all."

He didn't want Chugami to know how embarrassed he was, hopefully he wouldn't be able to see through his expression.

In through where the door had just been popped an odd looking koopa who went by the name Bubbles, dressed as a klown. He surveyed the bar, grinning an extraordinarily large grin.

"Hey folks!" He cried, looking around at the people who were already inside. "This place looks like a mighty fun time!" He walked in through the hole in the wall, and then sat down at one of the stools near, still grinning. "I need a waiter!" Bubbles called, and waited for a waiter to appear.

A reznor made his way through the doorway, squeezing by the car that had crashed through the wall. Peeking in through one of the car windows for a moment, he shrugged.

Odd old koopa land, he thought to himself. Always something new.. but why point it out, you aren't normal yourself.

Detatching the saddle mount from his back by unclipping the belt that held it across his waist, he flung it carelessly across the room and walked on his hind legs over to the bar. He looked to the characters sitting in the room and noticed that there was clearly nobody tending the bar area. Catching a glimpse of the clown, he walked up to him and coughed, clearing out his throat. "What's your get up?", he asked in a very gruff voice. "My name is Nigel", he said as he admired the clown feet. "If the circus is in town, I'm not joining.. this is just pure coincidence that I can walk and talk."

"There's no circus, just me! The name's Bubbles!" Bubbles said, giggling a bit. He reached out his hand in an attempt at a handshake. If Nigel shook the hand, he would be greeted by a jolt to the hand from the "jolly buzzer" on Bubbles' hand.

Chugami didn't quite understand what Xiuhcoatl was saying, but decided to ignore that in favor of a question: "You want to try again?"

"Thanks but no thanks.", Xiuhcoatl said back to Chugami. He then walked over to a chair and sat down.

Looking at the clown's hand extended, Nigel guessed he was looking for a handshake. Finally, after what seemed like minutes of silence, Nigel responded to the clown. "You're a clown", he said, sounding a bit sarcastic. "And I know what they do, plus I was sitting in the royal stalls cleaning myself so I doubt you'd want a handful of that either."

With those words, he walked past the clown and past L.J. as he made his way to the back of the tavern. "Hey raccoon man", he yelled back as he began to make his way into the hallway towards the restrooms. "Don't act like this is unusual, I'm just a walking and talking Reznor."

L.J. scratched his head as he watched the Reznor walk past him. Shrugging his words off, he then looked to the clown seated just across the bar from him. "So where ya from and do you make a gin and tonic?", he asked curiously.

The doors of the vehicle slowly opened, letting out a large amount of white smoke that filled the tavern. A koopaling with a mess of white hair dressed in a lab coat climbed out of the right side door and shut it with a gentle push. It was a go kart that was covered entirely in stainless steel sheets with glass windows, it had what appeared to be a souped up rocket booster where the back windshield would be.

He raised the metallic protection goggles from his eyes and set them on his forehead as he saw Crystal sneaking over towards the time machine. "Jennifer!", he shouted to her as he approached her. Grabbing Crystal by the shoulders, he shook her. "Your kids! Something must be done about your.. kids.", he said, sounding a bit panicky. Sniffing the air, he looked to the back of the tavern and saw L.J. seated there.

Leaving Crystal without saying another word, he ran over to L.J. with drool running down his fangs. Looking the giant furry koopa over, a smile ran across Iggitarian's face. "Mammal!", he shouted to him in excitement. "A delicacy in my time." He latched his jaws onto the right hand of L.J. and began to gnaw on it.

"Oh. Alright then." Chugami seemed slightly disappointed by this development, but if the behemoth didn't wanna, he wasn't going to try and force the issue. He looked over to Murcury, silently inquiring.

Bubbles sighed. Foiled again! he thought to himself.

He decided that the place was rather silent (aside from the dinosaurs that had just wandered in), so he took from one of his pockets a miniature air-horn. He pressed the button down, making an incredibly loud noise. He snickered all the while.

L.J. was watching Bubbles, too busy to pay attention to Iggitarian. Looking down on his left side, he saw the koopaling chewing away on his hand. "I am not food!", he shouted as he flung the koopaling into the wall hard.

Nigel walked out of the bathroom wearing a bar apron. Looking at the turmoil going on around him, he stepped behind the bar and saw Mystic passed out on the floor. "Amateur...", he muttered.

Crystal was trying to figure out the hell Jennifer was when the sudden blast of the air horn nearly sent her flying out of her shell. Staring at Bubbles for a moment, Crystal whisked the hair out of her eyes and stomped over to where he was sitting. "What the heck was that for?", she asked. "You could give people a heart attack with that thing!"

"HAHAHAHHA! You should have seen the look on your face!" He laughed, clutching his chest as he rolled around the floor. He managed to stand up, still giggling. "Sorry if I scared ya'! The name's Bubbles!" He said, holding out the jolly-buzzer hand in a mock handshake, hoping that this time, his victim wouldn't get wise to him. "What's your name?"

Chugami's ears twitched. "What was...? I'll be right back," he said to Xiqucoatl and Murcury. He picked up his pot and strapped it to his back before hurrying out, leaving the see-saw and boombox behind.

Before too long, he managed to trace the sound to somewhere outside the castle proper, but somehow still within the confines of the lava moat. The Valley of Bowser was fairly dim, as per standard for this time of day. He mused briefly on how much he was starting to miss the sky. Back on topic, he skittered around the corner to see something that caused him to stop short and feel like his heart dropped.

"A... bar...?" he squeeked.

Wiping the drool off of his hand, L.J. looked to the Reznor with a strange look on his face. "You sure you do this kind of thing?", he asked, with a bit of worry in his voice. A split second later, he shrugged and let off a nervous laugh. "Oh what the hell, hey Nigel hit me up with two more beers, won'tcha?"

Crystal glared at Bubbles for a moment and then stomped past him over to where L.J. was sitting and took a seat on a stool to the left of him. Looking to the Reznor behind the bar, she waved him over.

"Serve a drink to my little friend over there.", she whispered to the bartender who apparently as she overheard was named Nigel. With an innocent smile, she played with her hair and observed the surroundings in the tavern.

"That's twice in one day!" Bubbles sighed. Either I've gotta find a better trick or some dumber people! he thought to himself.

Then he remembered why he had come: to get a drink. He approached the bar area and took a seat. "Nigel, how about a cold one over here?" He called out, pulling something from his upper left pocket.

Nigel filled up two beer mugs and slid them down to L.J. With his back turned to Bubbles, he took another mug full of beer and pulled out a vital from the front of the apron he was wearing. He poured the light yellow liquid from inside the vital into the alcoholic beverage and walked over to where Bubbles was sitting and sat it down in front of him. With a bright, cheerful (which I'm sure it ain't) smile on his face, he gave him a wave. "This one is on the house", he said as he tried to cover his giggle. "No need to dig in your pockets to pay for it."

Walking back over to where Crystal was sitting, he leaned over and looked to her with a big grin on his face. "You know the saying", he whispered to her. "When 'Urine', you're in."

Bubbles was completely unaware of what was about to happen to his poor mouth. Without pausing to smell it or taste it at all, he took a very large swig of the "beer"... And immediately took a spit-take.

"Bleaugh!" He shrieked. He ran around the room very quickly, the sensation of what he had just consumed still burning his nose and eyes and tongue. All of a sudden, he went completely still... And began to laugh uproariously. "YOU GOT ME GOOD!" He chuckled, grinning at Nigel. "THA WAH THE BETH PWANK ANYONES EVAH PLAY ON ME!" He called, his voice sounding odd as he was attempting to scrub his tongue with a bathroom loofa he kept in one of his pockets.

A sound of uproarish laughter emitted from the bar, again piquing Chugami's curiosity. Whatever was going on in there...? Unfortunately his innate sense for a story was in conflict with the remains of memories of all the towns and villages he had been thrown out of when he got drunk while storytelling and the entire tale devolved into a vulgar parody. He had managed to keep on the wagon for a few years now, even managed to get rid of the barrels of sake that were attached to the sides of his pot... but would going into a bar be too much temptation...?

The weight of his emotions, not to mention his pot, caused him to fall and sit down.

Crystal giggled as she watched Bubbles reaction from the beer. She giggled a little too hard, at that as she was so shaken by it that she fell off of her stool and landed on her shell. Tears streaming down her face, she rolled on the floor just about laughing herself out of her own shell.
