Talents/abilities: Fast cars, causing trouble and being the prototypical teenager you don't want your kids hanging around. Drinking beer, partying and just being a lazy chillout. No real talents or abilities that are useful to the eyes or to the Koopa Empire.
Appearance: A large turquoise green koopa with large golden yellow eyes and twisted spikes going all the way down his shell with three more lined at the end of his tail which is almost always dragging behind him. Has a set of white spikes growing out each side of his face. Usually sports a bandanna on his head of various colors and wears a leather jacket that fits over the spikes on his shell. About 5 feet in height, taller than the standard koopa. Has a dark pink koopa shell.
Backstory/history: Graduated from Bowser Valley High School (somehow), known to cause trouble, slouch around and act like the typical bad influenced teenager. Is known to get in fights and talk smack, not only is this a "talent", it's also a well known fact throughout the Valley.

Name: Majusi Koopa
Gender: male
Age: early 20s
Species: Yoshi-Koopa hybrid (Koopa mother, Yoshi father)
Talents/abilities: is cable of speaking in both the common tongue and the language of the Yoshis
Appearance: looks much like a green Yoshi, with the head of one and red shoes, but possesses an orange Koopa shell (which replaces the red "saddle" shell) and the upright posture of a Koopa. Wears a small "crown" made from a coconut shell and palm leaves, a brown vest, and a lei of small jungle flowers and leaves.
Backstory/history: The young chief of a tribe of wild Yoshis in the depths of Yoshi's Island jungles, he is upset with how savage the once-proud Yoshi species has become and thus possesses a jaded view of the Koopa Empire as a whole. Between managing his tribe, he tries to think of ways to give the Empire little challenges so they don't get lazy and compliant controlling the world (but not big enough to be interpreted as challenges to the throne, hopefully). Neither confirms nor denies being related to Pookie.

Name: Kima
Gender: male
Age: 15 or so
Species: Ukiki
Talents/abilities: is capable of communicating with Yoshis and is also an adept climber
Appearance: like any other Ukiki, with brown-orange fur, and wearing an orange kerchief tied around its neck.
Backstory/history: Majusi's loyal retainer, who faithfully serves as his assistant and primary enforcer. Can be a little fanatic in his devotion to him and is somewhat of a "yes-man."

Majusi sounds good, hun. And Kima is some sort of monkey?

That's what the Ukiki is, yes. They more or less seceded the Grinder monkeys from Yoshi's Island.

Name: Jarvis Trellvan

Age: 26

Gender: Male

Species: Gaugau

Height: 6’3

Weight: 167 lbs.

Physical Appearance: Jarvis looks like a normal Gaugau. He wears a necklace with a skull & Cross-bones upon it, and a single hoop ear-ring in his left ear. He wears a hat and overcoat much like the ones that the character Joshua wears in Fire Emblem, only they are red rather than blue and there are various embroideries upon it. There is a feather in his hat.

Background: Jarvis had always been a rebellious child. He openly defied many types of authority (ie. His parents, his teachers, policeman, etc.), and enjoyed doing it. There was just something so fun about doing what he wanted to do whenever he wanted, and the freedom that came with disobedience, he thought, was worth it. He especially wanted to be like one of the Gaugaus who had signed their allegiance to Captain Syrup and her Brown Sugar Pirates.

Jarvis was not alone in his wish for anarchy, though. He had a gang of people his age that he had been best friends with his entire life. Among the kids that Jarvis hung out with, there was a Pirate Goom named Walter, a Penkoon named Maurice, a Wandering Goom named Isablella, a Guragura named Ralph, and a Dangerous Duck named Henry. Together, the kids would skip school, play pranks on members of the town they lived in, and pretended to fight with weapons they made.

One day, however, they took a prank too far; the glue bomb that Henry had figured out how to make had malfunctioned and burst into flame. It lit the house they were pranking on fire, and from there the fire spread out of control. It ended up burning down half the town, and the kids were banished from their home.

This did not bother Jarvis in the slightest, however, for he had always found his home boring and he had wanted to seek out adventure anyway. Together, the band of kids, all of them around seventeen, left their home to have fun and adventures.

They began their freedom by travelling to another town twenty miles south of where their old town had been. It was a large port town, where rich men parked their massive ships and fishermen peddled their wares. Jarvis’ gaze immediately fell upon the largest of the ships, one that was owned by a very rich fellow who barely ever used it. He discussed it with his group of vagabonds, and together they decided that they were going to “borrow” the ship. Jarvis had sailed a boat before, his father’s old fishing vessel (after his father commanded him to stay away from it). Maurice, who was (and still is) a massive fellow, knocked the guard over the head with his fist; the guard wouldn’t wake up for a very long time. They boarded the ship, which was entirely devoid of anyone, due to the fact that the ship was mostly eye-candy for the rich man’s acquaintances to goggle at. Soon, the ship was sailing out of the port…

The group was not met by any resistance to taking the ship, for if anybody saw the ship sailing, they would think that it was just the rich man taking it out for a joyride. Inside the ship, there was plenty of food and drink, all of which was preserved with salt or ice. Jarvis had never been happier in his life, and the freedom he had wanted so much had been attained.

The group officially decided to become pirates when they were accosted by, well, pirates! In fact, it was a team from the Brown Sugar Pirates themselves! They were armed with spears, cutlasses and pistols, and they were attempting to steal the ship. However, the group of pirates was made up entirely of Pirate Gooms, and they had not accounted for the fact that there was a Gaugau and a Penkoon aboard the ship.

To say the least, the pirates were beaten very easily with Maurice’s pure strength and Jarvis’ cunning. Jarvis decided that they should further teach the pirates a lesson by stealing everything on their ship! Jarvis and everyone but Isabelle (who stood back to make sure the ship stayed put) boarded the ship and easily defeated the few pirates that had remained on the ship. Maurice went back and forth between the two ships carrying things such as food, weapons, and treasures that the pirates had plundered. They left the unfortunate pirates stranded out in the ocean, never to be seen again.

Jarvis took for himself a sharp cutlass and ten throwing knives. He also took for himself the clothing that was listed in his appearance bio, something the captain of the pirate ship had not been able to wear due to being so short. Jarvis realized just how fun it was to fight that day, and so he went to his “crew” and gave them the news that he wanted to become a pirate gang. They all agreed enthusiastically; the money and adventure that came with it was sure to be worth the risk!

From that day forth, the group sailed the high seas, plundering any ship they came across, with Jarvis leading them into many misadventures and epic battles. They came to be feared throughout every kingdom of Plit who traded by sea route. Jarvis is also willing to do side-bar sort of things, such as doing odd jobs for money, or going out on quests for personal glory and bragging rights.

Personality: Jarvis is a rebellious fellow, and he doesn’t take orders from other people very well. He likes to mix things up a bit when it comes to planning, rather than sticking strictly to what the original plan entailed. He’s very much about self-image; if he ends up looking good in the end, he’ll do the job. He’s clever, but maybe not very intelligent.

Abilities: Jarvis is physically strong and rather clever, allowing him to think of and perform plans off the cuff.

Weapon: He carries a cutlass and ten throwing knives.

Armor: He wears a thick Pirate Captain’s overcoat, along with a pirate’s hat. These will protect him from some blunt attacks, though swords/bullets can still pierce through. Fire and Ice and other special attacks are also ways to beat him up.

Magic: None.

Weaknesses: He’s very self-confident and egotistical. He’ll do anything to show people that he’s the best at what he does.

Resistances: None to speak of.

This is a character of mine from somewhere else. He's a gaugau (from Super Mario Land III: Wario Land). If it's not "Mario enough" I won't press it, of course!

For those who don't know what a Gaugau is, I wasn't aware at first either. It is in the Mario Universe, so I have no objections but I don't have direct approval of it.

Gender: Female
Age: 19
Species: Koopa-Yoshi Hybrid
Talents/abilities: Partying and having a girl's night out with other Koopa-Yoshi and anybody else who just likes to paint their nails, try on necklaces and other items and ooze over them. Has a bit of an adventurous side but often gets herself in deep doo-doo because of it.
Appearance: Pink skin with a yellow koopa underbelly. Has flowing yellow hair, often all over the place as a total mess but occasionally secured with a purple hair ribbon. Has a purple koopa shell on her back and deep blue eyes. Not super skinny but a little bit built in the tail and waist.
Backstory/history: She reigns from the deep jungles of Yoshi Island and is highly sociable and well known through the communities that live in the jungle. There's no true reason for her to go on adventures, she just likes to keep busy and find something new or different in the world around her.

Interesting character choice, Nick.. can't wait to see it.

Talents/abilities: Uses a scythe as a weapon and as a form of intimidating opponents who get in his way. He is also quite stealthy and quite skilled in speed, unarmed combat and the use of his scythe. He will try and capture anyone who gets in his way.
Appearance: Regular looking koopa troopa with yellow shell. He carries a scythe with him, which he has at all times.
Backstory/history: Born into a family of treasure hunters and adventurers, Jonno is an active treasure hunter who loves nothing better than to discover undiscovered riches.

As long as you know character killing is not allowed Clive, then I think you're fine.

Age: Unknown
Species: Koopa-Yoshi Hybrid
Talents/abilities: She uses koopa wand to change things into objects but she has no special ability besides survival of jungle of Yoshi Island. Can swim good.
Appearance: Green yoshi with a yellow koopa underbelly, flowing black hair fasten with a yellow ribbon and green koopa shell on her back. She is young and maybe late teenager but unknown to others.
Backstory/history: Native of Yoshi Island, Pooks often hunts in jungle and resides with her B.F.F Luddy. She loves adventure and just being one of the boys but enjoys also having slumber parties and having girl night out too.

Gender: None
Age: Seems to be about 13-15
Species: Koopa-yoshi hybrid, mixed with a Duplighost
Talents/abilities:
Shapeshifting - Envy can turn into, well, anything, at least as long as part of the body, at least, is based on a living thing. For example, while Envy can turn one arm into a sword-like thing, they can't turn into a sword entirely. But they can turn their whole body into, say, a Gao. Envy does not need to actually be in front of something or someone in order to turn into that. But they do need to have seen it at some point, though it can be embelished by imagination.

From the Koopa side - From the Koopa side, Envy only takes an upright posture, a Koopa shell, and arms of a proper length to do a lot more stuff comfortably.

From the Yoshi side - From this side, Envy really only takes the face, colors, and agility. Envy cannot eat things and make eggs.

Appearance: Basically, Envy is an upright-postured very pale green Yoshi with a black Koopa shell. Their face is quite feminine, with long lashes and big, violet eyes. The body is also small and feminine, except for the quite well-developed muscles. Envy's hair is black, in long and wispy bangs. It's held slightly up with a headband, from which the bangs fall haphazardly. Kind of like from a palm tree, where they all fall from the top in all directions. The violet eyes have a VERY slight glow in the dark, but that's not noticeable at all in daylight, and in darker areas, it can easily go unnoticed too. One would need total darkness to properly see the glow. Envy also wears black handwraps (that leave the fingers uncovered) and footwraps (also black!) that leave the toes and ankles uncovered.

When injured, Envy's duplighost side starts to show. Envy becomes kind of transparent, and the eyes begin to glow more. This continues until Envy is not only untouchable, but also completely powerless. At this point, Envy cannot take a new disguise and must wait for recovery.

Backstory/history: Envy's story started with a very eccentric Magikoopa who had no family. He wanted to have a perfect child, but it seemed to him that no species really had it all. Yoshis were quick and strong, but they were too voracious and weird. Koopas were wonderful, but kind of weak, he felt. Toads were squishy and he didn't like them anyways.Duplighosts could really get everything, but they were ghosts and it was hard to adopt a baby ghost. And so went the list, with a complaint about every single species ever. Finally, the Magikoopa decided he had enough. If he could not find the perfect child, he would MAKE the perfect child. He started with a koopa/yoshi egg, which he felt was at least one step towards perfection, as the child would have the strengths of both species (or so he thought, anyways). Having a child to work with also solved the problem he had with duplighosts. And since they had everything, that's what he worked with. Eventually, he ended up merging a duplighost with the little child (which had not actually inherited much of the strength of yoshis, aside from the speed). And thus Envy was created. The child was given that name mostly because the Magikoopa envied his new creation's powers. Of course, Envy was more a test subject than a child, and was thus marked on the right thigh with a magikoopa magic symbol. Now merged with a duplighost, Envy could not age, except via a potion given by the Magikoopa, which made the one who drank it age exactly one day.

And thus lived Envy a pretty strange life, as a sort of favourite lab subject, not allowed to go outside. There were other test subjects in the lab, and Envy could talk to those, but it wasn't enough. There were stories of people outside, people with normal lives, living in a huge, open world. Envy was jealous of them and coveted such a life. But it was not until quite a few years later that an escape plan was formed in Envy's head. Reading about Boos gave Envy the idea to just turn into one and escape the lab.

Envy did not once look back.

(As an aside, anyone know a non-awkward gender-neutral pronoun to use?)
