Talk about anything music here.

I'll start with the first album I ever bought, it was The Doors self-titled debut album. I bought it in a record store, I believe it was in Houston I was on a trip to the local clothing and department venues with my family like we did several times a year. It was in mid summer of 1967, I was 13 years old. Brilliant album and Jim Morrison's voice told a story of good times, bad times and you could hear the darkness in his voice. He was a dark and misunderstood lead singer. But enough about the lead singer, the band behind him was fabulous too. The keyboardist Ray Manzarek was untouched in his ways of playing, particularly on the song "Light My Fire". The drumming by John Densmore helped really bring the album to life and I remember years later hearing people down the street, playing the drum beats to "Break On Through" and other gems off that album. And of course, the guitarist Robby Krieger was the final piece that made The Doors a whole.

It was a good time for me when I bought that album that summer and shamed to say, I lost that vinyl quite a few years ago due to poor decisions in my life. But regardless of my choices, every time I hear a song from that fantastic first album of theirs and the first album I ever bought for myself, I am always brought back to my childhood and to that one magical summer where the sunshine was abundant and where some of the greatest music in history was produced. Thank you.

The Crystal Ship, The End, Break On Through, Light My Fire... fantastic songs off an even better album.

Classic album. I'll add a favorite of mine when I get a chance.

First album I remember listening to, the cassette tape of the first Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles soundtrack. Was probably 5 or so

Hate ya Photobucket. I correct the pictures and you put them in some random mess. But seriously, here's Janis Joplin's Pearl. 1975 Re-Issue and she plays beautifully.

Don't like your Photobucket thing either but that is in beautiful condition considering it's almost 40 years old.

And yes, the number on the back corner on mine is exactly the same as yours, 30322. We've got two records from the same press.

Awesome, thank you. It has its occasional hiss or pop but it plays without a skip. I love it.

Everybody got an all time favorite band? Hard choice, you can only list ONE. Mine would be Black Sabbath.

Skillet's a really great band, I enjoy listening to them whenever I get the chance. I don't actually own any of their albums or songs, but my friends play them quite often, and it does make for some enjoyable music!

Great music for gaming out or for taking a drive but know that you most likely don't drive yet Sage. I've been listening to them since their first album and currently own all of them as of far.
