YES! Rebooting my computer let the extensions on OpenOffice take hold and now I got my English dictionary back! ^^ Such a relief...!

English dictionary? As in you are making your own?

No, see, my default spell-checking dictionary in OpenOffice got wiped out, so the spell-checker marked every word as misspelled. However, I managed to fix it.

Why not just re-install the program from scratch?

I did. Twice.

Okay guys, my new job isn't working out so hot. I was making $1300 a month before it and got cut down to $800 a month. Now it's going to about $650-700 a month and I'm getting worried and stressed out over it. I can barely pay my rent, groceries and utilities right now and have cut a ton of things out that I wouldn't like to kill but didn't have a choice. This forum doesn't cost anything and I don't have to renew the server for the site until next October, so I don't have a reason to say that they're going away anytime soon.

It's a ton of babble but I'm just going to come right out and say it. I can't be here, I've got a ton of stuff going on in my life and real life always comes first. I'm ruling out my character in the Pool Party and I'm letting Fire handle my characters in the backstory RP and from this point onward.

This is how I knew NintenKingdom was primarily staffed with teenagers: there was always some activity, because everyone wasn't too busy being a grown-up.

Just some griping and reminiscing instead of something meaningful, I suppose, since the guy I was primarily bouncing Chugami off of in the Pool Party stopped responding. Dang it, Broken Block, I've been playing Mario again, why don't you flow my way...?!

Two updates.

1. My Uncle Tim is getting much better, he's surprising doctors with his determination. He's breathing on his own pretty much now besides having a trechy in his throat and a little help from a ventilatior. He's not talking because of the thing in his throat but he is awake and has been smiling and grinning. They could possibly get him out of ICU and into a regular hospital room by the end of this week, which is unbelievable.

2. Got three of the character bios sections done. Two to go, so don't click on "Newcomers" or the mysterious ant tempting "We Warned You" quite yet.

Y'know what? The site could use a favicon (y'know, the little picture browsers these days display next to URLs on the address bar, named as such because they also show up on bookmark and favorites lists). I know the HTML to implement one, as well as a site to convert images to .ico format.

Put this in the <head> container:

...Oh c'mon, the text and bar are black and no one noticed before?! Aw well, you can still highlight it to see it.

And the site to turn an image into an icon is http://converticon.com/ . When exporting, select the 16 x 16 size.

Also, do the bio pages HAVE to have music on them? None of the other pages do, and I know I like listening to my own music sometimes. Plus, they're at the bottom of the page, making them a bit of a hassle to get to to shut off.

I'll move the player up to the top of the pages.. and like they say in the radio business, if you don't like it turn it off!

And thanks Sage, he had a heart attack over a week ago which is why he is there.

Certainly a viable option, though difficult given I got VLC handling embeds and the narrow area causes the volume control to be hit instead of the pause button. I'll keep that in mind though.

Will also get around soon for a picture for Squeek!Chugami.

I think the music helps give the site more atmosphere. I have no problem with it.
