Al, I don't know if you remember a kid named Mattie that met you and I in chat about 10 years ago. He was autistic and had several other disabilities. I just found out today that his caretaker/older sister Allyson passed away.

I'm heartbroken and at a loss for words.

I remember that young man, can't imagine the pain he and his family are feeling right now. Best condolences to him and family.

I don't know them but am so sorry! The pain that the family is going through is unimaginable to any of us.

I did a broadcast for her on the radio tonight. It wasn't easy but I got it done.

I found out this morning the dangers of having 6 blankets on my bed in winter. Woke up to no power and got a rude awakening of how cold the house was. Whoops! Maybe I should have stayed in my nice warm nest lol.

Sounds like you have it pretty bad there! We're keeping plenty warm here.

Thought I was bad for sleeping with 4 blankets in winter. Lol Guess not..

I am out in a little farm town so we tend to loose power a lot in winter. Thank goodness for propane stoves and generators! Although we do not own one but we go next door. Or we use the BBQ to cook. And yes 6 blankets. I am ALWAYS cold so 5 or 6 blankets does me just right in winter! Nice and toasty warm.
