Mikey update:

Doctors said Mikey is doing good this morning, about 9 AM they got Mikey on his feet with a bit of help of course. He used a walker to move around and talked to the specialists and therapists as they discussed how the next three months will go for him and what they plan to do with him for the next three days or so while he's in the hospital. He could bend his knee a little bit as he walked, and that is GREAT progress.

A bit of moving around for him the next few hours today and it should progress into more the next day or two. Hoping to get him off the cathethers after tomorrow sometime as well.

Will keep you all updated as usual when progress or something happens.

Mikey update:

Doctors checked out his knee this morning and so far there's no infection and no bleeding. They might be able to take him off the catheter later tonight as well, which is awesome. They got him on his feet for a bit again this morning too and though still limited he is walking better with assistance from his walker.

Could be going home as soon as Thursday as long as he keeps it up like he has. Will update you later tonight.

That's wonderful news! Hope he keeps improving, KKE ain't the same without him!

Mikey update:

Incision still looks good, no infection and no bleeding. Mikey also had his catheter removed tonight, which is just awesome. He's doing well considering the major surgery he is working through and also walked for about 40 minutes tonight. The doctors will try and get him on some solid foods tomorrow afternoon and see how well he can handle it.

Haven't heard much more about what's going on tomorrow with the big guy, besides just getting him on his feet longer and able to bend his knee a little more while he does walk. He hasn't complained about much pain at all, he did shortly after the numbing medicine wore off Sunday but that was expected.

Mikey update:

Things are still good on the incision and he's walked for about forty minutes every two hours or so today and is doing good. He's still using the walker and they're getting him prepared to use a cane. Mikey had some very light solid food for lunch today and as of 4 hours, he hasn't had any digestive issues. They'll take him to the restroom later and make sure that things are coming out right for him.

He's projected to either be released for home Thursday at 1 PM or Friday at around the same time. Will keep you updated further, love ya fam.

ok all i know i just got back on the forum and all. and im sorry but i need to leave again. For those that don't know I have to have surgery tomorrow mornin at 8:45 am on my right eye. My retna has near completely detached and is causin me alot of problems with my vision over the past couple of months. so hopefully all goes well and dont worry after a wk i'll return to pick on yll like always..........yes Greg even when MY BENGALS win this thurs!

As I said the other night, got faith in ya Dragons hun. You'll be just fine.

Mikey update:

Tia, Al and myself spent most of the early afternoon being instructed by the doctors and staff there on how to get Mikey comfortable and ready to go for the long car trip home with Al and Tia. He did more walking this morning and he had no problems digesting solid foods. They sent him home with crutches and a cane, which he will be using for a few weeks longer yet. The incision still looks good and is healing on schedule. They were projected to leave at 4 PM and will be stopping every hour and a half/two hours to give Mikey a chance to walk and so he can get his exercises in when needed. The hospital also faxed information over to the Royal Ottawa Health Care facility so they can have a therapy specialist come to Al and Tia's home through out the day to check on and work with Mikey through his healing process.

Great news and Mikey is slowly but surely on his way to having his life back! Love ya fam.

We didn't get home until very late last night but we are indeed home and Mikey is here with us now.

Mikey is Murcury_Koopa and he had knee replacement surgery last Sunday.
